Resort Martino, a small luxury five star hotel, pays special attention to every detail, draws its inspiration from the European hotel chain "Chateau & Relais". The Resort has only 42 junior suites, because we believe that only a small hotel can offer perfect service.

After building and operating four hotels in Italy,Alfonso Martino, the founder, arrived at La Garita de Alajuela and discovered that it was blessed by nature, he decided that this was the perfect place to achieve his life's dream. He has personally designed the hotel, combining the elegance of European tradition with a new sense of the Tropics, where flora and fauna mix in a climate ideally suited for energy recovery and relaxation.

Rooms are luxuriously furnished, all with a terrace overlooking the large neoclassic pool, and with a second telephone in the bathroom. Hotel amenities include the Gourmet Restaurant which has been rated one of the best in the country, three bars, a conference center, tennis court, bar, casino and the attached bird sanctuary. It also has one of the largest private health clubs in Central America with roman bath and sauna and a complete beauty and medical SPA, where you can find everything, from a simple massage to aesthetic surgery.

The intent of the owner was to create a very comfortable hotel with a warm environment and friendly spirit where a guest can feel nearly as well as at home. The five star Resort Martino is indeed one of Costa Rica's greatest escape locations, a place where you can treat yourself to the best of pampering and relaxation. After your stay, you will feel completely rejuvenated and ready to face city life for a little while longer.
